The goal of this model making student project was to investigate a facade and study its structural components in depth by recreating them at scale. This effort helped us as students to better understand how various aspects of the facade came together to become an entire assembly system as well as a unified structural system. This project occurred in the Fall of 2012. Kyle then had the ability to visit SFO in 2015 to see the facade up-close and take the pictures shown below.
